The gradient mode in KColor helps you generate a smooth color transition between two points. It’s ideal for backgrounds, buttons, charts, or any UI element where a fluid color shift adds visual interest.
What is a gradient palette
A gradient palette blends two or more colors by interpolating their values across a defined number of steps. This creates a seamless transition that maintains harmony while introducing depth and variation.
How to generate gradients in KColor
To generate a gradient palette, switch to gradient mode, select a start and end color, and KColor will automatically calculate the intermediary steps. You can tweak the number of colors and fine-tune the transition curve.
The button between any two colors also lets you quickly insert a new color that’s automatically interpolated between them. Hold the
button to choose how many intermediate colors to add, allowing you to create smooth transitions and expand your palette with precise color steps.
By clicking the swap button, you can chnage change the direction of the generated gradient.
You can also click eitheir color swatches to manually seletect the start and/or the end color to generate the gradient.
You can also Increase or decrease the number of interpolated colors.
